I am having a job knowing what to give to my son for his birthday. He has given me a huge list of things and I want to pick a few things form that list as I do not have the money to buy all of it. I want to get him something that will last and that I feel I will get my moneys worth out of. He has quite a lot of model kits on the list and although the ones he wants are quite grown up, I do wonder how much he will get out of them. It is good for him to put the Revell model kits together, I think that takes concentration and intelligence as well as perseverance which is great. However, once he has made them he puts them up on a high shelf, because they are precious to him and that is it.
I am tempted to get him some Traxxas instead as I know that he will have a lot of fun out of it and he will be able to keep using it over and over. I might go to the shop and chat to the owner about it to find out what his thoughts are as well as talking to his father about it.
